If you search anywhere about the history of T-shirts, the most common fact is that it was first manufactured between the Mexican-American War in 1898, and 1913 when the U.S. Navy began issuing them as standard undershirts.<\/p>
That is so true but the fact is that T-shirts are much older than that.<\/p>
It basically started in during the middle ages when men started wearing it as an undergarment that will protect the skin from the garment that they used to wear. Now believe it or not, the now so cool t-shirts, back then were large, rectangular and with a long tail tucked between the legs; the only thing that is still common is that it maintained its T shape which gives it its name.<\/p>
